Takeaways: Cowboys Collapse In Carolina
Cowboys defense goes M.I.A. as Week 6 ends with frustration.
The Dallas Cowboys suffered a frustrating road loss on Sunday afternoon, falling 30-27 to the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.
Why it matters: This was a game the Cowboys needed to win before facing the Washington Commanders next Sunday.
“We need to coach better, we need to play better,” Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer said after the game.
Here are three takeaways from Dallas’ loss to Carolina:
Dak and Pickens’ connection
Let’s start with the positives, shall we? Cowboys fans can’t blame Dak Prescott for this loss because he had one impressive outing.
Prescott finished the game by completing 25 of his 34 passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns. He did not throw an interception in the game.
“It’s a long season,” Prescott said. “We just have to find a way to win all these close games, and I have confidence that we will.”
Prescott’s favorite target on the afternoon was George Pickens, who had nine receptions for 168 yards and a touchdown.
“When you throw it to a guy like that who makes guys miss,” Prescott said of Pickens. “You guys see it on Sundays, but I see it every day in practices.”
